Straddie Camper Trailer and 4WD Hire

Step 2: Book your camp site through Minjerribah Camping. This can be done online at minjerribahcamping.com.au. You then email us your camp tags. When the time comes, we meet you at your fully set up camp site just to run through everything and make sure you are safe, comfortable and ready to have a good time.
Camper Trailer Hire - Refer to the gallery section for photos of our camper trailers. The campers come with a queen size mattress, two single foam mattress for the kids, a 2 burner gas stove (gas included), LED lighting connected to a deep cycle battery, camp tables and a 50 litre esky.
Our base rate for the standard camper trailer on Flinders Beach is $350 for the minimum 2 night rental, then $70 per night after that. Our special 7 night hire works out even cheaper. Rental is based on 4 people. ie- 2 adults and 2 kids.
Main Beach costs $450 for the minimum 2 night rental, then $70 per night after that.

When hiring our camper trailers you will need to have a high clearance 4WD vehicle. You will also need to bring your own food and drinks, camp chairs, cooking equipment including pots and pans, plates and cutlery, ice, linen, pillows, blankets, insect repelant, tea towles and a tablecloth, a fire lighter and/or matches, torches, reading lamps, wood for the fire. (Camp fires are permitted, subject to the current fire rating). (Wood can be purchased at Myora about 3km outside the Dunwich township on the left hand side of the main road) Collecting wood is not permitted within the national park so please bring some. Ice can be purchased from Bob's Ice. We also recomend fishing gear as Straddie has some truely remarkable fishing opportunities.
We require a copy of your Drivers License and Credit Card and reserve the right to take a $1,000 pre authorisation on your credit card to ensure our camping equipment is returned free from damage, with no evidence of being mal treated.
We also hire 4WD Land Cruisers, fully set up for Straddie Beach Conditions.
4WD Hire - Hire rates for our Toyota Landcruiser's is $350 per day. Beach driving is totally dependant on the tide and beach conditions on the day or days of the hire. We will meet you at our place to run through a safety briefing and make sure you are comfortable with the 4WD and are aware of the tide times and the prevailing weather conditions. We will give you parameters as to when you need to be off the beach to ensure your own safety, and the safety of the 4WD.
You are only permitted to drive the vehicle on the beach two hours after the high tide, and you must be off the beach three hours before the high tide. That gives you a seven hour window to explore some of the most pristine beaches in the world. There are also many inland tracks, lakes and other points of interest, so you are only limited by your own enthusiasm. We give you a map of the Island and a suggested itinerary based on the weather conditions, and what you wish to achieve. Each car is fitted with a GPS positioning devise and a dash camera. We reserve the right to take $1,000 as a preauthorisation on your credit card prior to you hiring the vehicle. You will be charged the minimum $1,000, if evidence suggests you have driven the vehicles in the salt water or have breached our conditions of hire. We do not have comprehensive insurance for any damage you cause to our vehicles. In that regard any damage you cause, is totally "your responsibility". In the unlikely event of an incident, your maximum excess is $8,000. Otherwise it is the cost of any damage you cause. We have public and products liability insurance (third party) for $20,000,000.
