North Strabroke Island or Minjerribah (as it has always been known to our aboriginal people), is a unique paradise located just far enough away from Queensland's capital city of Brisbane. The island is 39km long and 20km wide at its widest and comprises over 25,000 hectares of wilderness, much of it now protected by National Park and/or Native Title, held collectively by the Quandamooka Aboriginal clans. The island abounds in wildlife both on land and in the crystal clear waters that surround. Kangaroos, koalas, goannas, echidnas, dolphins, whales and a stunning array of birds life.

Straddie has been our home since 1996. There is nothing we don't like about this place, especially camping on the island. Chances are if you can't reach us, it's because we are fishing at Jumpinpin and out of mobile range. But that's OK, just leave an email or message.
